The Northern Taste

These two cultured and young neighborhoods often get confused. Both share a lively vibe and a spot with young locals because one of the most famous universities in Italy is located here. But one thing is certain, you’re on the east side of milan. It is very convenient to get to as both neighborhoods are in the green line (Piola and Lambrate). Soon on the new blue subway line. If you want to have an aperitif or simply have a drink with friends, these are the three local places you can’t miss:

BIRRIFICIO LAMBRATE

A legendary brewery that has been in Milan since 1996! The first to open in Lombardy and second in all of Italy. it is so well known and popular that they had to open a second location nearby in the neighborhood, which of course both are always full. They have 11 classic beers, always in production, and several other taps for the season. The names derive from areas of Milan or from the dialect such as la domm(duomo), sant’ambrous(the Milan saint), ghisa local policeman). For a comparison, you cannot fail to try the American magut, a west coast Pilsner, and the fa Bala l’oeucc, an American ipa.

UNION CLUB

A night bar where the atmosphere and the furniture are the main attraction! you will find a dentist chair, particular paintings on the walls and many people enjoying the atmoposhere. Union clubs is always frequented by rugby players from the various Lambrate teams.

Open until late at night, it deserves a stop after dinner to drink a cocktail or a beer if you’re looking for something simple and modest. This place has Shareable tables and it is so easy to make friends and chat while drinking. The prices are low and so you can not worry too much about the final bill!

SANTERIA PALADINI

Obtained from an old workshop. You have to enter by going down a ramp that once allowed cars to reach the courtyard. During summer, it allows you to enjoy an aperitif outdoors. Here everything is focused on particular and quality proposals, both from the kitchen and from the cocktail bar! The staff is young and prepared, the furnishings are modern and the people are beautiful. You can choose to dine with burgers or vegetarian options, or simply add a happy hour dish that will be charged separately but will be worth all the money spent! The courtyard closes early so as not to disturb the neighbours, so don’t go with the intention of being late.
